My mic sounds nice....Check 1! My mic sounds nice....Check 2!

Thanks to Radio Personality , DJ, and Community Activist EZ STREET, local artist are getting the opportunity to share their talents live and on air. EZ STREET is a 25 year radio vet and fixture in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia Market. For over five years, he's been exposing local talent and helping aspiring artist get the shine they've been grinding for. EZ STREET host a quarterly artist showcase: The EZ STREET DMV Artist Talent Showcase, where local artist can submit their track for a chance to have their song played on air and the opportunity to perform live.

EZ STREET is not only helping local artists achieve their dream, but he's helped numerous aspiring radio personalities and DJ's get their starts. One of those individuals happens to be me. EZ has been instrumental in helping me achieve my on-air dreams and for the past five years I've been co-hosting his talk show "Trending With EZ". The show airs on Sundays at 6 am on 93.9 WKYS FM online at KYSDC.COM and at 4pm on WOL 1450 AM WOLDCNEWS.COM. Moral of the story: Dreams come true when you connect with the right people.

In addition to co-hosting the show, I've been able to dabble in other areas of interest and assit EZ with his film making endeavors. In 2015, EZ debuted his first documentary "The Sankofa Hip Hop Project" on Youtube. The film explores the connection between Hip Hop and African culture and features a host of A-Listers including Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Common, Tyrese, Erykah Badu, and this list goes on and on. In the short piece below, EZ takes viewers behind the scene of his last artist showcase (with yours truly interviewing the artist). Check it out!

If you're an aspiring artist (or know of one) don't let opportunity pass you by! Jump in, submit your track, and keep on pressing towards your DREAMS!
